Väike jääaeg lõppes alles 1850 a.

See ütleb meile, et me oleme kaugel kliimamuutuse mõistmisest.

Kliimapoliitika tugineb ebapiisavatele mudelitele

Lisaks on nad ignoreerinud fakti, et atmosfääri rikastamine CO 2-ga on kasulik.

CO 2 on taimede toit, elu alus kogu Maal

CO 2 ei ole saasteaine. See on oluline kogu eluks Maal. Fotosüntees on õnnistus. Rohkem CO 2 on kasulik loodusele, Maa muutub rohelisemaks: täiendava CO 2 õhku paiskumine on edendanud globaalset taimset biomassi. Samuti on see hea põllumajandusele, suurendades põllukultuuride saagikust kogu maailmas.

Kuid CO 2 leevendamise meetmed on kahjulikud, sest need on kulukad. Näiteks tuuleturbiinid tapavad linde ja putukaid ja õlipalmiistandused hävitavad vihmametsade bioloogilise mitmekesisuse.

Kliimapoliitika peab järgima teaduslikku ja majanduslikku olukorda

Kliima ei ole hädaolukorras. Seetõttu ei ole põhjust paanikaks ja ärevuseks. Me oleme tugevalt vastu kahjulikule ja ebareaalsele nullilähedasele CO 2 poliitikale, mida on pakutud 2050. aastaks. (Eestil kuluks selleks 30 aasta jooksul 17,3 miljardit eurot)

Meie soovitus poliitilistele juhtidele on, et teadus peaks oluliselt paremini püüdma mõista kliimasüsteemi, samas poliitikas tuleks keskenduda tõestustel põhinevatele prioriteetsetele kohanemise strateegiatele ja taskukohastele tehnoloogiatele minimeerimaks kliima kahjusid.
